By accessing or using this Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Website.

1. Use of the Website

You agree to use this Website lawfully and respectfully. You may not:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations;
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity;
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or misuse the Website; 
• Copy or use our content without written permission.

2. Products and Services

We specialize in refinished, upcycled, and antique furniture. All pieces are one-of-a-kind and may include imperfections that add to their character and reflect their age or previous use.

• Condition Disclosure: Furniture may include signs of age such as minor cracks, wear, or repaired joints. These characteristics are not defects. 
• Product Images: We strive to present accurate photos and descriptions, but actual colors and finishes may vary slightly from screen to screen.
• Availability: All items are subject to availability and may be removed or marked as sold at any time.

3. Custom Orders

We offer custom refinishing services based on your preferences.

• Approval Process: Not all furniture pieces will considered for custom refinishing. Once we agree on a design or finish, we will provide a mockup or reference photos for your approval.
• Non-Refundable Deposits: Custom orders require a non-refundable deposit (typically 50% of the final price).
• Lead Times: Estimated completion time will be discussed upfront. Delays may occur depending on material availability or weather (for outdoor finishes).
• No Returns on Custom Items: Custom pieces are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange.

4. Orders and Payments

• Placing an Order: You must provide accurate information when placing an order. Any misrepresentation may result in order cancellation.
• Accepted Payment Methods: We accept Venmo or PayPal. Cash is accepted for in person transactions.
• Payment Terms: Full payment is required before shipping or pickup unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Local Pickup

We offer local pickup from our location in Rahway, NJ.

• Pickup Window: Items must be picked up within 5 days of purchase. Failure to do so may result in storage fees or cancellation without refund.
• Pickup Responsibility: You are responsible for safely transporting the item. We are not liable for damage during transport once the item leaves our premises.
• Assistance: We can help load large items, but please bring appropriate vehicles, furniture moving protection and help as needed.

6. Shipping and Delivery

• Local Delivery: We currently offer local door to door delivery within 25 miles of Rahway, NJ for an additional fee. Delivery within a reasonable distance  beyond this will be considered on a case by case basis. 
• Furniture Shipping: Larger items may be shipped via freight or white glove delivery to the lower 48 states only. Shipping quotes are provided upon request.
• Delivery Times: Estimated delivery times vary based on location. We are not liable for shipping carrier delays.
• Shipping Damage: You must inspect items upon arrival. Report any shipping damage within 48 hours with photos to qualify for a claim.

7. Antique and Refinished Materials Disclaimer

All of our pieces are vintage, antique, or reclaimed, which means:

• Each item is unique and may show signs of wear consistent with age. 
• We cannot guarantee structural perfection, though we strive to ensure functionality and safety.
• Some pieces may have been refinished, repurposed, or altered from their original form.
• By purchasing, you acknowledge and accept the inherent characteristics of aged or upcycled materials.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our Website—logos, product descriptions, photos, and branding—is the exclusive property of Vintage Made Modern Furniture. You may not use or reproduce our content without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. Vintage Made Modern Furniture is not liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
• Damage during local transport or pickup;
• Customer misuse of the product after purchase.

Your sole remedy for any claim will be limited to the amount paid for the product.

10. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted to this page and take effect immediately. Continued use of our Website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
